1st Year at HLW

pencil sketch and colored banana
In this assignment, we had to create two drawings of a banana within a short amount of time: one as realistic as possible and one as a quick pencil sketch.

different banana sketches
In the top drawing, we had to recreate the same banana using only fine liner dots. For the second one, the task was to reduce the drawing to just the essential lines, without any shading. In the final version, we simplified the banana even further, reducing it to a solid black shape.

black and white illustration of a banana
In this task, we drew another banana in black and white. For the first and second versions, we focused only on outlining the banana, keeping the drawing minimal and clean.

clay figure
In this project, we worked with clay. The task was to create an abstract sculpture on a narrow base using five different shapes we formed from the clay ourselves.

bookmark design
This project focused on typography. Using a dip pen and ink, we created a bookmark where small illustrations and handwritten lettering were the main elements of the design.

fictional album cover
This was my favorite project in art class. We were asked to invent an album by a music artist and design a custom album cover inspired by their genre and previous work. My design was inspired by the album Graduation.
